The Dame Behind the Dozen
Erica learned how to make cookies at her grandmother's side on Saturday mornings growing up. In the early years, there may have been an equal amount of baking and licking of beaters, but she witnessed the power of a sweet treat to brighten anyone's day. She's been making delightful combinations of flour and sugar to shower others with love ever since.
In May of 2018, Erica began baking weekly for the Kansas City Hospice House thanks to generous donations for ingredients from family and friends. It was a small way to bring comfort to the families and appreciation to the staff. She so enjoyed her Mondays in the kitchen that she decided to turn it into a full time pursuit.
A wife and mom passionate about food, Erica enjoys preparing healthy, homemade meals for her family, but she never says no to delicious baked goods. When not in the kitchen, one can find Erica running, reading, volunteering, travelling, and spending time outside. But there's one place you'll always find her every afternoon - enjoying a snack with her family. Because she firmly believes that the world would be a better place if we all had milk and cookies at 3 o'clock every day.
